I can't select them manually because I don't know which ones they are and hitting "refresh library" in settings does absolutely nothing. I can't get Google Play Music to find the thousand or so songs it's missing. No idea what happened to the ~1000+ I have left but surely I can let them upload while I'm sleeping or out of the house, right? So I dragged those 5 folders back to the upload box - but then it said there were a total of 16,000+ songs to be uploaded when I know for a fact there's only about 10,000 mp3s on my machine! Afraid I would be uploading a good 2/3 of my library all over again and winding up with duplicates that I would be forced to delete manually, I again forced closed my browser & restarted it. Restarted Chrome and come to find there are about 8000 songs uploaded. So I did the only thing I could do and ended the task. Task manager said my memory usage was at 100%, courtesy of Chrome. When I got back to my laptop though it was freezing badly - I couldn't get the upload page to stop being a big white square, I couldn't refresh, I couldn't open a new tab, I had no idea if it was finished or not, etc. Google said this was something like 9000+ songs and the upload was SERIOUSLY slowing down my laptop and every single other machine using my internet connection, so I decided to leave my computer on all night and let it work while I was asleep. I had 5 folders synced to "music from this computer" in my settings. I JUST started using Google Play like two days ago, so apologies if this is a dumb question.
